The 70-metre woven medieval depiction of William the Conqueror#39;s 1066 invasion is a major tourist draw in the Normandy town of Bayeux, where records show it has been since at least 1476. But Dave Musgrove, editor of BBC History Magazine Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. also received the Medal of Honor for his service in the Normandy invasion in 1944, during World War II. They are one of only two father and son to win the Medal of Honor. Roosevelt is the only 20th Century Able Company billeted nearly one year in the High Town Stables in Aldbourne, England prior to and following the Normandy Invasion. I fought in four major campaigns including Normandy, Holland, Bastogne, and Germany ending in Austria.
